THE ITSY BITSY SPIDER... WHO HAPPENED TO CLIMB A WATER SPOUT

I have to say some nursery rhyme that we are so familiar with sometimes just don't make any sense.
Like in Itsy Bitsy Spider, why in the world would it travel back up the water spout, only to encounter a closed off valve and then when someone turns it out, to only be flooded out. What in the world is the moral of that. All I can say about it is, if you a spider don't climb up water spouts as if they are caves. Better yet find a nice hot and humid space underneath a sink or cupboard. Both are usually safer and you are less likely to rebuild your web.

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.
Down came the rain, and washed the spider out.
Up came the sun, and dried up all the rain,
and the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again.

The actual purpose of the rhyme is to improve dexterity in children when doing the finger movements. So besides it being a rhyme that is easy to remember it also has an educational aspect, who would have figured that.

Besides rhyming words, they are just amazingly thought out and most of them don't make sense. So who cares, as long as that's all your children are saying them, they are developing their language skill, what is it to them if they don't know or for that matter care what it means.

Have a lovely Halloween!!!

CANDY ISN'T ONLY FOR CHILDREN + AN ALLIGATOR

So candy isn't only for children, it's also for adults, and especially foe me, since I have such a sweet tooth. One reason why I mention this is because I'm one of the few people who still goes trick - or - treating every year, but this might be my last year. When you think about it there is no age limit to be able to go door to door and ask for candy. I think as long as you dress up and go in a small group, there is nothing wrong with that. Plus you can always lie about your age.

Besides Halloween being tomorrow, and the fact the trees are shedding, I have to say so far fall has been nice. This of course whose favourite season is winter. Speaking of winter, I can't believe it has already snowed in the mountains but not here. It is so close and yet so far.

In the swamp there was a lizard.

This lizard had eyes of green.

His jaws would snap and his tail would swoosh.

He swims below the surface, with only his eyes above to peer at unsuspecting prey.

What will his next meal be, a small deer, a bird or maybe even a stray.

Well what ever it might be, it will be a hearty meal.

For he can digest even steel.

THE END.
Please leave some feedback, it would be much appreciated.

YOU STUMBLE AND FALL

You stumble and fall on something, not knowing what it is.

You turn around and look and it's an arm grabbing a leg.

You continue on your way.

This is what you expect in a zombie apocalypse.

Don't forget your shot gun.

THE END.

A QUITE BEACH BREAKFAST

Some days are super boring, where you either have a whole bunch of stuff to do but you don't want to anything or where you have nothing to do and can't think of anything else to do. Well that is what is currently my mood, but that is bound to change. I've already taken my accounting midterm and it seemed a bit easier that I thought, I don't see what people are so stressed about. Then later this evening I'm having a business law midterm which I've studied for partially and intended to study for some time during work from those quick study guides that we have at the story. If only I can remember what the test will be covering.

Made some more prints yesterday, some of them however, in my opinion turned out terrible; others might think otherwise. I actually went to bed early yesterday and that means that I owe you guys two stories today. Even though right now I don't feel like writing one.

"Hey" is for horses.

The sun is rising from out of the water and the rays dance on the bouncing waves. The sky is lighting up with warmth. On a beach not so far away you sit and gaze at this spectacular view of the morning sun. Catching it getting up and ready for the up coming day. The waves hit the beach in an ever so calm melody.

You have brought breakfast with you, so you take it out of the little basket to enjoy. You have some toast and strawberry jam, a thermos full of rich warm coffee, a juicy apple and oatmeal cookies. You spread the jam on the ever so crisp piece of toast and you can barely hear the knife scraping at the surface as you spread. The seeds of the strawberries are littered across the piece of toast, stuck in the jelly substance that is made up of sugar and strawberry mush.

You set down your piece of toast on a plate which is on a plaid wool blanket. You grab the thermos, open the cap and unscrew the lid. An energizing smell of the Colombian coffee bursts towards your nostrils as you inhale the aromatic goodness. You breath is deep and the aroma is strong. You pour some into the cap, and use it as a make-shift cup. The liquid is hot and so you blow on it before taking the first sip. The taste hits your tongue in a rush of heat and goes down your throat and warms you up on this slightly chilly morning.

The sun is now finally out of the water and it starts to climb the sky slowly but quite visibly. You take another sip and pick up the toast with the jam. The smell of strawberry is as strong as the smell of the coffee. You take a bite out of the toast and the crunch is heard all around. Ha, so the toast is still nice and crisp, whatever can be better than that. You finish your toast and rummage through the basket for the apple and oatmeal cookies you put in before you left. You find the apple, all yellow and red, it fits perfectly in your hand. You take a bite from it and the taste is so fresh and sweet. Maybe just too sweet, it should belong in a tart.

You eat finish the apple in a few minutes while watching the waves beat against the sand. The sun still an orange color, reflects on the waves and lands on the sandy beach. The sky is now also a warm yellow orange color with the deep blue of the night sky disappearing. The moon is still partially out and is climbing away along with the night sky. All it wants to do is see the sun for a bit until it goes to sleep for the day.

All that is left of the apple is it's core with a few seeds. You collect the seeds into your palm and put them in your pocket, they will come in handy later. You dispose of the core by currently placing it in your basket in a brown paper bag. In exchange you take out the oatmeal cookies that are still wrapped in their protective plastic. You unwrap the first cookie and it is nice and soft. The first bite is so chewy and so is the last.

You finally finish your beach "breakfast" before the runners go by.  You see them coming up in the distance as if they are a herd migrating across the beach to their final destination. You pack up your stuff and collect the trash that you have generated from the morning. You fold up the blanket and beat away the excess sand in the wool. You place it over the top of the basket and start to walk towards home.

As you get to higher ground the wind slightly picks up. You turn around to get one last look at the sunrise over the sea. You think you see something on the water, but without your glasses and the sun in your eyes you can't tell what it is. You say to yourself that it's nothing, and continue to head home, throwing your trash away in the closest garbage bin. When you get home you'll see what the weatherman is promising for later.

You finally get home, placing the basket on the coffee table. You take off your jacket, check if anyone has called, and flip on the television. There is a breaking news story, and by the looks of it something was found on a beach. You decide to listen in since the weather report is coming up anyways. The report says that a body has washed up on the beach and that a group of runners found it. The body is mangled from being in the sea and bloated with water. They don't say who the victim is but as you take a closer look, you see that is where you were sitting not so long ago, eating your breakfast and watching the sun get up.

You wonder why this would happen on a day that started out so beautifully.

MASK MAKING + DREAMLAND

Bought mask making supplies today which includes feathers, glitter glue and sequins. Will post a picture of the finished mask once it's finished. So far I've painted it, all that's left is to glue on the rest and do some touch - ups. Re-run of House,  so tonight it's Law & Order : Criminal Intent very interesting show. The crimes they show are so brutal that it's amazing that they are allowed to show them on television.

In a land far away dust falls in glittery specks that fall and settle on the lashes of the sleeping. They sleep peacefully in pajamas made of silk and satin. They sleep on a sea of pillows of different shapes and sizes. The dust covers these dreamers in a light coat. Do these dreamer's dream of happy dreams and fantasies or nightmares that give the heart a good pounding in the middle of the night.

The land of sleep is vast and patrons come and go. They float down from above the clouds along with the glittering dust into the fields of softness and comfort. These sleepers don't know that they venture to this land and don't know of it's existance. They visit it during REM, were the sleeper generates dreams a few times a night. This only means that they visit a few times a during the night.

In this land everyone is  there for one purpose, to go on an adventure that can only be experienced in sleep. The sleepers will journey here until the end of their days.

So welcome to dreamland and enjoy your stay.

THE LEAVES ARE FALLING AND SO IS THE SKY

So fall weather has finally hit and I'm now just wishing it would snow and skip the rest of fall and go straight into winter. Since I love snow you can see why I can't wait for winter to come by.Plus I don't really like raking leaves, even though they can change into such amazing colors. Watched Big with Tom Hanks and then watched The Pelican Brief with Denzel Washington and Julia Roberts. Good films and I can watch them at any time of the day and year. I so want a pizza now, must likely a deep dish pizza.

Finally got Mt. Desolation on Friday and did an entire listen through and I've got to be honest, it was okay, not great but still a joy to listen to and will probably stay in the stereo for a bit so I can listen to it whenever I have free time. Tim's and Jesse's voices are such a splendor to listen to, and it's so weird to hear them sing folk.
Bitter Pill -

There is a hole opening up in the universe and it is constantly swallowing plants and stars. The universe is shrinking but at the same time it is always expanding. These holes are invisible and yet they have so much power. They eat and eat until they eat themselves in the end.

The colors of the universe come and go just like the light emitted by the stars. The colors are range into the billions and yet when they are all blended together create one color. In this vacuum nothing survives except what lives on planets that are protecting their inhabitants.

On one planet in the Milky Way is called Earth. On Earth there are living carbon based life forms. These living life forms have been around for a while and use the Earth to their advantage. One day the sky will fall on them and nothing will be living on the planet. It will become a rock that will orbit around it's star until it's star decides to stop shining so bright. The star will destroy itself after living happily for so many eons. It's dust will rain down from the sky in a shower of meteors.

WHAT DOES A TIGER SEE?

What does a tiger see? That is a question, that one can seek an answer to and maybe find it.

In the deep and lush jungle, there roams an animal who wishes to know what does a tiger see. It follows the predator and watches it habits, noting ear movements and twitches of the whiskers. The flicker of it's eyes follow the eyes of the tiger, about the forest in search for some prey or safety. Does a tiger really look for safety though, being on the top of the food chain, surely it can't fear anything.

However wrong that assumption is, especially since the tiger has one major predator that is even more dangerous than itself. This predator is the human who hunts it not for it's meat but for it's fur. The fur that some one will use not to wear but to adore their home with.

The animal that stalks the tiger is indeed a man, but his purpose is not to kill this magnificent beast but to learn more from it than any sort of text could provide. This human dressed in beige is a researcher with a tiny notebook in the back pocket and a camera around the neck.

Clicks from the camera and scribbles in the notebook indicate that this researcher has been around for awhile, a few weeks, maybe months. So on they creep after the big cat, assured that the creature hasn't seen them.

The tiger for the first time in a few days has headed out to an open space with little trees and a lake. It goes for a swim to cool itself off from the summer heat. Wearing that coat in the summer, it gets hot. The researcher stays in the forest and observes like a spy on a mission. Them out of nowhere the tiger leaps towards the researcher and mauls him in the neck, and goes for the stomach.

So much for thinking that stalking a tiger was a great idea ... for the tiger saw it all.

Please leave me some feedback it would be much appreciated.

DYE TRAGEDY + FROM THE LIPS OF FIRE

Okay, so as promised I will post two short stories today, but before I do I have to say that dying your hair and then finding out the water has been shut off while the color is being set is just tragic. Well that actually happened to me yesterday, so now my hair is practically black in color, but once I found out the water had been shut off due to a water main break in one of the other building I kind of understood. Lucky we had a few gallons of water in those jugs you buy at the store. I rinsed most of it out and after a few hours rinsed the rest out when the water was turned back on. So always keep gallons of water about the house, you never know when you might need it.

I also watched REPO! The Genetic Opera and it is such a goth musical with tons of guitar riffs. So basically it was a rock and roll musical/opera and it was pretty good, a bit cheesy but good.

From the lips of fire came the words that are forever heard on the icy wind. They travel far and have reached the ends of the earth by falling on deaf ears. The lips of fire repeat the message or phrase until it is heard. It takes forever for these words to travel on the icy wind to the ends of the earth, but by the time they get to their destination, they have traveled over land and sea to get there.

The message can sometimes be heard as an echo on the icy wind, but the message is too scrambled to understand. The letters travel over warm climates faster than over cold habitats. In the Arctic tundra the words travel ever so slowly that the sound is distorted and the sounds are low echos and pitches. They drone on and on until they reach open water. They then bounce off the waves and reflect the message back and forth until it hits a beach.

On a cool beach, the syllables travel at a slow enough speed to hear but fast enough to understand what the phrase is. When it reaches the fields of grass, the words travel on each blade and are shot up into the sky to mingle about in the clouds that crawl about the sky. The clouds deliver the message fast before reaching a desert. The phrase is let go on it's own to travel across this desolate land that nothing thrives in except plants and lizards who don't require much hydration.

Once the words exit the desert and hits canons and valleys, the time it travels slows and it is once again being bounced back and forth on the walls of stone. Right before it leaves these crevasse of the earth it sees it's target, the ends of the earth, and it focuses on reaching it as fast as possible. Luckily the deserts air makes the journey quicker.

The destination is drawing nearer and at a faster pace. There is only one way of getting there in one swift movement, and that requires a lot of bouncing off the walls. The phrase or message only wishes to fall on deaf ears, so that a new phrase or message can be sent to be heard. Once the message or phrase has reached the ends of the earth it is free and no more. What has happened to it? Where has it gone? Will it ever be repeated? Only the sands of time can tell what the lips of fire will say again.

THE END.
Please leave some feedback. It would be much appreciated.

The Lion & His Mane

There once was this amazing lion. His mane glittered of gold and rays of sun. It danced about the wind whenever the breeze blew by. The pattern would be as if it was a field of golden wheat, ready to be harvested. The lion took pride in this amazing mane and had proven himself well worth it. He had many partners and cubs. Everyone feared him or adored him.

For years his mane shone like the brightest star in the night of the African savanna. Antelope would fear it as well as the laughing hienas. With a huge roar the mane world move making the sound ever more powerful. After the hunts his partners had, it would be coated in ruby red blood from the prey.

Then one day it all stopped, the mane did not shine and glimmer anymore. The lion, growing old, began to lose his confidence in himself. For he was nothing without his magical mane of glory. Who would now run away in fear from his roars, and who would catch his meals. His partners, even though few and old, still cared about him and adored him much more than ever before. They all knew he was still the magnificent lion that had the magical golden mane.

He knew his time had come, it was time to pass this glory onto an heir of the group. He chose one of his young sons to continue bringing joy and power to his group. His son, he knew, would make not only himself proud but everyone else who was near him. The magical mane shall live on from one generation to the next. Bringing happiness as well as fear to everyone around.

IT WAS SO TASTY TO WATCH....AND DREAMS FALL FROM THE SKY

So yesterday afternoon I went and saw Kings Of Pastry at the Starz Film Center. Now that is a film that was amazing at how much work can be put into making pastries and other confections. I'd have to say that the pastry chefs that are in the film are more like artisan than chefs, because their crafts are just that -- pieces of mouth watering art that you will probably not want to eat because it looks so fantastic. After watching the film I so want to go and study baking and the art of pastry making. I even ventured to The French Pastry School website which is located in Chicago to see what courses they offer. If anyone is interested they can visited them here : http://www.frenchpastryschool.com/index.html .

The only downside of this plan is that I won't be able to taste any of my creations since they would not be gluten free. On the other hand I could probably try and make the best gluten free pastries ever if I ever decide to follow this plan through. This it seems to me is only a temporary solution to distract me from all the other subjects in school. I have to get it out of my head.

I'm not going to post a baker short story, it's too soon for that.

There was a little old shop in the lower part of town that was once owned by an old couple. The couples niece, Megan, helped them out around the shop whenever they needed any assistance. The type of shop the couple owned was a cafe/ bookstore where people could come in have a cup of java and enjoy any of the thousands of books that lined the walls. You even could purchase the book if you liked it enough.

After a bit of time Megan was constantly working at the shop, since her uncle and aunt where getting older and older and much more feeble. They planned on leaving Megan the shop and decided it was high time that she knew it. So one lazy afternoon when there where no customers to assist, Megan's aunt and uncle called her to the shop office. That was when they told her that they are leaving the shop to her in their will. They planned on dying together and let Megan know that she was always their favorite.

Shortly after the Megan's aunt and uncle where admitted to the hospital and died a few days from each for unknown causes. When their lawyers called and said to Megan that something was left to her, she went to the office to hear what the will stated. She walk into the office and in there are her parents and her other siblings. They all seem to expect something to be given to them.

Megan sat down and waited patiently, they were still waiting for someone else. They finally came in, apologized for being late and took a seat. Megan did't know who he is, so didn't her parents and none of her siblings recognized him either. The lawyer announced that now since everyone is here they can play the tape. He also said that since they wanted the will to only take effect after both of them had pasted on.

The lawyer pushed play and the sound of the DVD spinning is heard. On the screen Megan's aunt and uncle appear, they greet the family. After going over a few last moments of farewell they get down to business. They state that the shop that they owned goes to Megan, and why, as well as to whom to their house goes to it turns out to be Megan as well. Her parents are outraged, as well as her siblings. After the viewing is over the lawyer announces that their wishes be fulfilled and that it's now up to Megan to do what she wishes with her new property. Her parents and siblings are outraged that she got practically everything and that the stranger that came in got something as well. The only thing the recived was a dusty old car that was beyond repair.

They all leave the offices of the lawyer, and Megan sets off to the store for the rest of the day, thinking of what just had happened. She can't believe that she inherited so much, and since they only told her about the shop she didn't expect their home. Still wondering who the gentleman was and why he got their stocks, she enters the shop and heads to the office. She sits at her uncle's desk and opens the drawers to looks for answers. In the bottom right one there is a huge envelope with her name on it.

She opens it only to discover that in the envelope is a set of instructions. These instructions are what to do next. They always knew Megan had big dreams of becoming an industrial designer and not always being stuck in the shop for the rest of her days. They said that they had opened an account for her for university and that there was enough to go all the way up to a doctorate degree. She had to contact the man that was in the lawyers office, who controlled the stock options. His phone number was listed as well as a photo and a brief profile of him. She hadn't known her aunt and uncle were so rich, how ever did they make that fortune.

So Megan got in touch with the man and found out his name was Greg. Greg apparently knew every little detail of this plan and he told Megan what she had to do in order to get what she wanted. So Megan went to university to study industrial design and received a masters. She didn't sell the shop, so when she got back she redesigned it and it became a place where people could purchase her designs first hand and meet the creator. Greg and Megan meet up later, and got married and lived happily for the rest of their lives.

They left every thing to on of Greg's niece who also was just as ambitious as Megan.

THE END.

MIDTERMS ARE FINALLY HERE + WHAT LIVES IN THE ATTIC?

It actually amazes me that midterms are finally coming up, since I was wondering when they where going to actually start. So calculus is the head kicker for me and then that's all going to be followed  mostly likely by accounting and business law with marketing ending the midterm craze that I have right now. But I can just feel it being dragged out for three weeks, which isn't really my cup of tea, I'd rather they all finished in a week, so I won't have to worry about it so much.

However today during accounting I now know what I'm going to do for Halloween, well at least I know what I'm going to be. This will make me go to Hobby Lobby for some supplies. Speaking of crafts, I bought this very nicely patterned fabric, which means I'm going to make a dress out if it. Will post the final result after I'm done making it.

I so want to write another chapter of AstroStar with Bliss and Evian but I can't bring myself to do it, so for now they are just either going to be long happy stories that end horribly or just weird stuff no one ever thinks about.

I love breakfast foods.

In a coffee shop, there is the intense smell of coffee beans roasting before being brewed. This smell drifts out of the shop and down the street, passing people early in the morning and dragging them in for a cup. Even though it is early in the morning, people are out and about with their cups of joe in hand. Some add cream and sugar, other order it just black. There are even different flavors that people drink that emit such fantastic smells.

Some people carry apple danishes stuffed with cream cheese or powdered donuts. These pastries are wrapped neatly in napkins and wax paper, waiting to be devoured by the holder. The air brushes against them blowing away sugar or almonds. There taste being sweet and satisfying, leaving the consumer wanting more. The first bite being ever so sweet, that it can make ones teeth ache and taste buds explode from the flavor.

The sun is still rising above the city and is beginning to over look the skyscrapers that occupy the land. These steel, glass and concrete structures dominate the landscape, drawing peoples eyes to them. They love the attention they get, from being tall and withstanding. Some look better than others, but still pride in what they are and what they represent. Without them the business world would be in a whole bunch of little houses that no one could care less for.

People enter them from below and make them active by travelling about inside them. They are an organism that can only thrive with others organisms operating it and making it whole. Without people these steel giants would not exist and with them they are the being that make them feel so alive. They compete in design and height as well as for locations to be built on. What will happen to them once there are no more people to maintain them, will they stand together and let the wind blow through them.

Underneath the ground there is a system of tunnels that go this way and that, carrying different things to building. So even carry trains which carry people, who than go to the surface to work in the big steel giants. These trains are like snakes that travel through a burrow of an animal it haws eaten. It makes the ground vibrate every time they pass somewhere, emitting light into the dark passages is travels through. Occasionally stopping to let people off or on, it rarely sees daylight only if it's route goes out through and open area or at the depot where it rests for the night. They run on rails and electricity that is supplied by wither coal or wind or water.

Without power these machines would not be able to operate the way they are designed to.
Just like everything else in this everlasting concrete jungle.

THE END.
Please leave some feedback it would be much appreciated.

KINGS OF PASTRY + MT.DESOLATION + CAT NAP

I've decided on Wednesday to go see Kings of Pastry at the Starz Film Center. Mt. Desolation's debut album Mt. Desolation is out today and I'm expecting to receive my copy by Friday the latest. So I won't be able to hear the entire album until then, but I'm okay with that, it makes me happy to look forward to something on Friday. I love watching House, the best drama on television.

Great crime show is Law & Order: SVU. The cases they have are just amazing.

A poster hangs on the wall of a neatly decorated room, with red painted walls and golden satin curtains. A vase of a deep sea blue stands in the corner on an oak table with white peonies coming out of the vase. They are fresh. The sun comes through the curtains making shadows dance on the hardwood floors. A black cat naps on the floor with the dancing shadows. It's tail flickers every now and then as if the cat is on an adventure of some sort.

The lazy day continues and the cat has left the room. It's now in the kitchen getting a sip for a bowl with tiny fish on the sides. It's green eyes see some movement in the corner and runs towards it to investigate. It turns out to be a moth. The cat plays with the moth on the white tiles of the kitchen for awhile, gets bored and leaves into another room of the house.

The cat leaps and lunges about the house going from room to room. It jumps on chairs and tables, looking for other things to be entertained with. Finally finishing the exploration of the first floor, the cat heads upstairs to the rooms. Every room is a different color, most of them are bedrooms with comfy beds and pillows that are made of goose feathers.

There is only one room left to explore upstairs and it's the master bathroom. The tiles are super white, there is an arm hanging from the tub. The cat comes up and licks the tips of the fingers. The hand doesn't move, it just lays limp over the tub. Who will serve me dinner tonight?

PASTRY AND ORCHIDS

Saw Freakonomics today and it was amazing, they could have made it a bit longer but otherwise it was perfect and at a good price I might as well add. Saw a commercial before the film for Kings of Pastry and I so want to see that next. The commercial is posted below for the film. We took a stroll about campus after the film was over and it's so nice when it's so empty without people flooding the place going to class.  I so want to do a painting now, have a strange inspiration. Mostly has to do with reflections and shadows, will see where it leads me.

Orchids are so fascinating.
Their beauty is so strange and exotic.
There colors are magnificent with little patterns on the blossoms, like leopards.
They are delicate and love a certain habitat that they thrive in so well.
If you could chose a plant to be what would you choose?

Please leave me some feedback on my short stories. It would be much appreciated.

CIRCUS NIGHT...

Watched The Pink Panter tonight with Steve Matin, forgot how comical it is to watch. Its funny how the mystery was found out so fast and easily. Films that are made in France always look so amazing because of the scenes and locations that are used.

Another day at work, with a super long bus ride home. For some reason it was longer than usual, I noticed this when I couldn't understand why we finally got to Colorado Blvd. and why it took forever, it's not that long of a drive from downtown.

Planning on going to see Freakonomics tomorrow at the Starz Film Center in the Tivoli. Super excited to see it. I also picked what courses I want to take next semester but can't register quite yet.

The circus is in town, and there are many acts to see. Exotic creatures from all around the world are going to be on the stage. The ringmaster is ready to crack his whip at the roaring felines. Come and watch the elephants stand on their hind legs, the acrobats fly through the air. The tight rope walker is ready to show off their new tricks, the flamethrower is ready to spit fire and the clowns are ready to make you laugh.

Glitter flashes about on the dancers who ride on horses with tall feather headdresses. A organ grinder and his monkey walk through the main tent playing their tune while on a unicycle. Next a small parade of cats and dogs march through dancing with very colorful costumes.

You head outside into the night air after the show, with you bag of popcorn and cotton candy. The perfect mixture of sweet and salty. The fireflies have come out to dance about the other tents. You'll come back tomorrow for some more fun.

Morning opens on the main tent which red and goldenrod, with flags on the points which fly ever so high in the air, flapping in the wind. There are smaller tents around where you can play carinival games, win prizes and ride on some amusements. There is even a special tent where you can see the animals when they are not performing in the main tent.

The circus is on the outskirts of town, where no one goes anymore but they are such a big hit that they are there for a day and then are gone. You wish they will come back soon, so you can enjoy them once again.

TIME IS SLOWING DOWN....AND YOU DISAPPEAR

Still can't believe that my computer had died even though it was almost a week ago. Have done a lot of research on what I want to get and I've decided not to get anything with a Windows operating system, since it has failed me twice. So I guess it's going to be Macintosh from here on out. Finished up my calculus homework and everything was going good on accounting homework and then I hit a wall. The last problem is a bit hard, so I've decided to try and work it out on paper and see how it goes and then type it up. WOW, I just thought that was a run-on sentence but I guess it isn’t. Watched 300 this morning with Gerard Butler and I loved the gore of the film, even though I have seen more gore in other films. Plus watching a whole bunch on hunky guys in battle was fun. Plus seeing Rodrigo Santoro as Xerxes was great, very drag if you know what I mean. I also loved the costume design for 300 very nice.

I now know what courses I planning on taking next semester, really looking forward to signing up on a few of them.

Neon lights flicker. The moon is high. The air is filled with smoke. The gum on the sidewalk is scattered in black dots which use to be bright colors. The clicking of heels is heard as if a stampede is outside late in the night. Sequins glitter in the neon and faces glisten with glitter with long eyelashes that reach for the sky.

Mini skirts in various styles dance about in the clubs, dancing to the beat that is pulsing through the building. The lights are flashing in strobe patterns that make everyone seem as if they are in a stop motion picture. With every blink, everyone is in a different position, drinks splashing about and hair flipping every which direction.

The DJ is mixing up the songs and everyone seems to be having a good time. People come and go from the dance floor and lounge on the sofas that line the dance floor. The lights are quite dim in these areas, where couples sit together and steal kisses from one another. The bar is constantly busy with drink orders. Alcohol flows as if there is no tomorrow, filling glasses and emptying bottles.

It's 1 a.m. and the club is packed. Time seems to slow down around this time, everyone becoming aware of their surroundings. The club will close pretty soon, and everyone knows it. The last hour is used up quickly. Everyone stumbles out of the clubs, drunk, with broken heels and messed up hair.

The floor is now clear and the bartender is cleaning empty glasses, loading the dishwasher. The floor needs to be swept and mopped before tomorrow night, but that can be done in the morning. The lights are finally turned off and the club is locked up.

It's the crack of dawn and the sun is hitting the dark club. Light storms through the window and reveals the dance floor, the bar and the stage. Time leaps forward and it's finally midday, the manager and other employees of the club start to stream into the club. The clean up begins. The floor is swept and mopped, the dishwasher is unloaded and the liquors are re-stocked.

The sofa lounge is being cleaned and hidden behind a sofa in the back is a body of a young beautiful girl, with a sequins dress, heels that are six inches tall and hair of gold and bronze. Her face is a blank, her red lips are slightly open, along with her bright green eyes. She stares out into the distance. A few other of the employees run up to see what is the matter, only to see the girl. They call an ambulance, and while waiting try to find out if she is alive. Then all of a sudden she draws in a deep breath, her eyes flutter with her super long eyelashes, not knowing what is going on. She gets up as if nothing happened. Looks about for something, and picks up a pocket watch of gold from underneath a sofa.

All she says before she leaves is this:
"So time did slow down to a stop, and that is where I found this place of glitz and glamour."
She straightened her dress and walk out into the bright sunny day with a halo about her, never to be seen again.

THE END.

HAIKU?!? WHY YES!!!

The haiku defined in the dictionary:

–noun, plural

2.

One drop of blood, fell.
It had a long journey down.
Noone heard a sound.

It hit the bottom.
The water was crystal clear.
It turned ruby red.

Death was in the air.
It came from a great distance.
Flesh was rotting now.

THE JOY OF SLEEP + WITH A BLINK OF AN EYE

So last night I didn't post any short stories and I feel really bad about it, but my main reason for not posting one is because I had the opportunity to go to bed early and I did. So yesterday was a bit weird, made some more prints from images that I did ever so long ago (variation shown below). Otherwise not anything interesting, besides that you should watch Stranger Than Fiction with Will Ferrell, one film that he is in and it suits him quite well with an interesting plot.

Fiction as defined by the dictionary:
-NOUN
1. the class of literature comprising works of imaginative narration, esp. in prose form.
2. works of this class, as novels or short stories: detective fiction.
3. something feigned, invented, or imagined; a made-up story: We've all heard the fiction of her being in delicate health.
4. the act of feigning, inventing, or imagining.
5. an imaginary thing or event, postulated for the purposes ofargument or explanation.
6. Law. an allegation that a fact exists that is known not to exist, made by authority of law to bring a case within theoperation of a rule of law.

The world is ever so colorful that with every blink it changes shades. You might not know that but the colors you see now are probably familiar to you but are constantly changing, since not everyone sees the same. The grass can be greener for some and the sky could be bluer. We are constantly including additives in what we see, from the color our food is to the color of the walls.

In a white room there is a red chair and a clear table. You only see the chair and when you walk towards it you bump right into the corner of the translucent table. Now you know that there is a table in the room as well and wonder what else can be hiding from you in plain sight. You continue towards the chair and don't come across anything along the way. This chair looks uncomfortable because of the material it is made of, but you sit down anyways and it turns out to the most comfortable chair ever.

You sit in the chair for a while staring out across the vast white room. You don't see the table you bumped into anymore. You get up from the chair and decide to move it towards that table. Carrying the chair above your head, you head in the general direction you believe the table is. You don't find it, turning to the left you continue about the vast room looking for it. You wonder why in the world would someone put an invisible table in a white room with a red chair. You continue to wander about and after 30 minutes of carrying the chair over your head you get tried. So you set it down, knowing it is easily to spot and continue on you search.

After an hour of walking and trying to find the table, you bump into it. You look into the distance and the red chair is at the far end. You dig through your pockets and find a yellow piece of paper, a pocket watch and a handkerchief. You decide to leave all of this on the table, so it will be easier to find when you go and retrieve the chair from the far end. You start your journey back only thinking to yourself, is this room really that big? By the looks of it the building that this rooms resides in isn't that big, it's only a quarter of the size of a city block.

You make it back to the chair, rest for a bit a then continue to carry it across the room. You see your belongings on the table so you head towards them. The chair has gotten heavier from the last time, so you decide it is much easier to drag it along the floor. The legs of the chair scrape across the floor, you are constantly stopping to rest and every time you look towards the table it gets further and further away. You know that you're not going in the wrong direction, and conclude that your eyes are playing a trick on you.

A few hours have pasted since you entered the room, and now the table with your belongings seems closer than ever. So as fast as you can you decide to push it towards the table while breaking into a run. Finally reaching the table with the red chair, so slump down into it to rest your eyes and body for a moment. You sit there with your eyes closed for a minute, open them, collect your belonging that are on the table, put them away in their respective places. You put your head on the table to rest for a bit more, the brightness of the room is killing your eyes. You look out onto the horizon, you don't even know where the door to this room is anymore.

You blink and all of a sudden you are somewhere else, still sitting in the red chair with your head on the transparent table. Is this some sort of trick?

THE END.
