FLU SHOTS + Brüno + MAGPIES

Got up early this morning to go to an appointment only to get there and find out that I shouldn't have come by at all, but I did decide to get my flu shot, since I won't be able to do it later. The flu shot came in one needle, but contain the H1N1 vaccine and the regular one people get. After that I wandered about town for a bit and finally returned home at about noon. Watched Brüno and then took a well deserved nap. Was one of the best things do to after such a long week, was cut short with a telephone call though. Purchased some amazing boots only to come home and watch the amazing Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory excellent ice skating film, if you haven't seen you should.

During my nap I dreamed that someone was planning on stealing money from disabled children. It was really sad and creepy that someone would do that. I couldn't figure out why someone would do such a thing.

Currently have Muse's Undisclosed Desires stuck in my head.

A caterpillar crawls on a a branch high up in a tree. It's movements are slow as it heads towards some leaves to munch on. Its green in color with two yellow stripes going from head to toe and black dot that run alongside the yellow stripes. From higher up a bird spots the caterpillar moving on the branch, it swoops down and catches the caterpillar in it's beak and goes back up a bit higher in the tree to it's nest. It's swallows the caterpillar and looks on for another.

The wind picks up, the leaves flutter like butterflies on their twigs, the whole tree moves as one. A flock of birds is approaching this tree, the tree is an oak, an old and hardy oak. The flock gets closer and closer. They finally land on the tree to stop for a bit. The birds are some magpies, looking for sparkling items all over the country side to bring back to their nest. One of the magpies has a silver chain around it's neck and a few others refuse to let go what they have in their beaks.

They leave the tree, and fly over some cottages. In one of the gardens a person stands and as they look up to see what is flying over they find it odd to see a flock of magpies. Usually there are only a few but not dozens in one group.

They continue their journey, a few swooping down if they see something reflective. The one with the chain sees something sparkling from the ground in a pasture. It swoops down to retrieve whatever is glittering up at them. It lands next to it, it turns out to be a sapphire ring, but that's not the only thing attached to the ring, the ring is still around a finger. By the looks of it it's been torn off. The magpie picks it up by the finger and flies away.

Finally reaching its nest it tries to get rid of the finger that the ring is attached to. It finally does and lets the finger fall to the ground. It is now at the foot of the tree, a fox comes up to it, sniffs it and then runs away with it in its mouth. So much for a bony piece of meat that once belonged to someone and had a piece of valuable art on it. Lost forever, never to be found, a treasure that will hide for the rest of time.

THE END.

Please leave me feedback, it would be much appreciated.
